Like many stay-at-home moms, Kim Kane was searching for a way to earn some extra in-come during these challenging economic times. After working as a personal trainer and aerobics instructor for 12 years, Kim decided to stay home full time after her first son was born eight years ago. She learned about SeekingSitters while visiting her family in San Diego. When they needed childcare for their two sons, her sister-in-law introduced her to SeekingSitters. Kim was very impressed with the quality of the babysitters. She knew first-hand how difficult it is to find quality childcare so she decided to bring this service to other families in Orange County. She and her husband Mike officially launched their Seek-ingSitters franchise in November 2008 and serve families throughout the Coastal and Air-port regions of Orange County.
Kim says the best part of being a SeekingSitters owner is being able to make life easier for moms who are busy and want to make sure that their children are being taken care of by a qualified professional. As a former personal trainer, Kim was passionate about helping people feel better about themselves through physical fitness. She brings the same pas-sion into her role as a SeekingSitters owner because she can help meet the needs that many moms have every day, and she enjoys facilitating that connection.
A California native, Kim lived here until age nine before her family moved across the country to Connecticut. She returned to her home state for college, earning a degree in Exercise Physiology from California State Uni-versity Long Beach. A former babysitter, Kim feels very connected to her partnership with SeekingSitters. She currently volunteers her time at her sons' school and their local church. Kim loves spending time with her family, reading books, and working out.
